South Miami beach is the beginning of an urban agglomeration of apartment buildings. The high density area is approximately 200 miles long and only a couple of streets wide. When it reaches the restricted military zone of Cape Canaveral it comes to an end. The luxurious apartments fulfill the expectations of its wealthy buyers. They are as close as possible to the beach with an ocean view, represent status and offer 24 hour security. Due to the usual hurricanes the buildings often become evacuated and elevators get turned off. Artifical dunes and a narrow strip of vegetation are supposed to prevent erosion. The potential elevation of the sea level isnt part of the concept.
